Land Art & Sculpture by David Allen

Current Projects:

I'll be keeping tabs on current and future projects here.

Llano Earth Art Fest:
I will be attending this years Llano Earth Art Fest (LEAF), in Llano, Texas. This is a three day, eco-friendly event, with a focus on Land Art, Stone Balancing and other Earth Art related activities. The Fest will be attended by Artists from across the country including Michael Grab of Gravity Glue, Tim Anderson of Keystone Balance, and Kathy Clark of Lady Kates Photography

Orltey Beach, New Jersey:

I was contacted by the residents of Ortley Beach, New Jersey, a small oceanside town that was heavily damaged by hurricane Sandy in 2012. Although they have recovered to some degree, there are still deep emotional scars from the storm. This project will aim to provide a sense of hope and community through the addition of a Stone sculpture and revitalization of a damaged recreational park.

Fort Williams Park, Maine:

This project is still in the early stages of development and planning. The plan, proposed by the park foundation, involves utilizing multiple areas of the park for sculpture work provided by various artists. The park offers 90 acres of pristine Maine coastline, lighthouses, fields and paths as well as the remnants of many of the structures present from when the fort was an active outpost. The park hosts over 800,000 visitors each year and will be an ideal location to display my work.
